My Story
I knew I wanted to be in the dental world since I was in grade 6 & got braces. When I realized how much of a difference our smiles can make on our confidence, I knew I had to be in this line of work.
I started Smiles by Fayth in August 2020, but I actually had this idea a year prior. During my condensed dental hygiene program, I didn't have time to commit to any part time jobs, and somehow got thinking about this business again!
Now, I work part time as a hygienist, and am able to brighten smiles with my whitening business! There's simply no better feeling than helping someone fall in love with their smile again.
Growing over the years
At first, Smiles by Fayth was solely teeth whitening services (mobile or stationed at my home office at my parents house on Townsend Lake). Then, I introduced products and they were a HIT! A few years later, and my husband and I built our home in Walter's Falls, and I have started introducing pop up locations in Markdale & Durham.
Soon after starting whitening, I launched tooth gems. I love being able to provide this service with safe materials used from a dental office.
February 2022, I added spray tanning to my services. I LOVE a good suntan, but I wanted to start being more mindful about sun exposure & burns. I started researching spray tans, and after some ordering and training, I was all set up to spray tan! I love that the tans look SO natural and give my clients that extra bit of confidence in their own skin!

Little did I know, how many doors this biz would open for me. I have met or reconnected with so many wonderful small business owners & clients through this journey. It also has made me realize the importance of supporting local whenever you can. Even just sharing/liking a post can reach a new client for a small business!
