What is the teeth whitening process of an appointment?

Fayth Vandenberg

After we have a brief consult of your teeth condition & current sensitivity levels (if any), we get started on your appointment! I have you bring a toothbrush & toothpaste, but I have you brush with a special paste first to help with surface stains. Next, we get you comfortable in the chair, and set the retractors in (these hold your lips & tongue from touching the teeth while the gel is on). We will take some before photos & measure your shade. Then, I apply a barrier over the gums to ensure the gel doesn't irritate the gums. After that, we can get to applying the magic gel! I put it on the fronts of the teeth visible in your smile line, and maybe 1-2 teeth back. Next, I will set the blue LED light up (time intervals depending on the treatment we chose). We will repeat a few sessions with the light, and in between I remove & reapply fresh whitening gel to maximize your results. After the sessions are complete, I remove the gel & measure your new shade! I will take some after photos to compare, but they will only be shared with your permission. Lastly, you brush your teeth to get rid of any remaining gel, and enjoy your new pearly whites!
